Omega's Speedmaster, launched in 1957, quickly established itself as a benchmark in the world of sports watchmaking and exploration. Originally designed for motor racing, it became legendary when it was selected by NASA to accompany astronauts on space missions. After successfully passing a series of extreme endurance tests, the Speedmaster became the official watch of all Apollo missions, including the famous Apollo 11, during which it set foot on the lunar surface on Buzz Aldrin's wrist in 1969. This is how it earned its nickname "Moonwatch" and forged a reputation for robustness, reliability, and precision in the most extreme conditions.
The "From the Moon to Mars" version pays tribute to this incredible human epic. It is distinguished by its three subtly decorated counters with images of the Earth, the Moon, and Mars, symbolizing the major milestones in human space exploration and conquest. Its design echoes the aesthetic codes of the classic Moonwatch. It features a 42 mm steel case, a black tachymeter bezel, and a dial that is both technical and elegant.
The watch we are offering is production number 1111 (dating from 2005) from a production run that began in 2004.
The watch is in perfect condition (very near new). It has only been worn once or twice, and would have been kept in a safe.
It comes with all its links (some links have been detached, it is possible to add them).
Watch comes with its original box/overbox, as well as its original documents, and its international warranty card.
