Rolex Datejust 1601
A legendary watch in watchmaking history, the Datejust made its first appearance in 1945, with its brand-new technological presentation. With this model, Rolex presented the first automatic wristwatch to display the date in a window on the dial. It immediately won over its audience. In addition to this technology, the timepiece was recognized for its robustness, precision, and versatile design. Even today, these lines and shapes have survived the decades. It combines understated sophistication and remains a timeless symbol of elegance.
The reference 1601, introduced in the 1960s, saw its production end until the 1980s. This model sold is distinguished by its 36 mm steel case, and with its elegant lines and its dial with stick indexes. Its size allows it to be worn by both a man and a woman (and yes ladies, you can steal this watch from your spouse). Regarding the movement, it is equipped with the automatic Rolex 1570 movement, a manufactured caliber renowned for its reliability and precision. Its fluted bezel and its iconic shape make it a discreet but immediately recognizable model. Precisely for this reason, this design being so elegant, it has been very often copied by other watch manufacturers.
